Cosmic Lift

For XR HUB Bavaria, K5 Factory created Cosmic Lift, a virtual event venue developed as part of the Media Days Bavaria. Launched in 2020, the project responded to a time when physical social interaction was heavily limited, offering visitors a shared digital space to meet, celebrate, and connect.

The experience invited participants into a virtual party spanning five dance floors and bar areas, each designed with its own atmosphere. Specially produced music, immersive 360° video integrations, and spatial audio combined to create a vivid sense of presence. Visitors navigated the space through their own avatars, floating freely through the virtual night and engaging with others in real time.

Designed as a platform-independent solution, Cosmic Lift was accessible both via web browsers and common VR headsets, making the experience available to a wide audience. The project demonstrated how virtual environments can foster social connection and shared moments — even when physical gatherings are not possible.
